How long a space is held for you
- A space is held for 15 minutes while you fill in your details. If you do not finish, the hold expires and the space goes back.
- If you got as far as entering details but never chose a payment method, the space is released 2 hours after you started. You can still come back and finish, but the space may be gone.
Neither of these charges you anything. A hold is not a booking.
How the price is worked out
Yards set rates per vehicle type — hourly, daily, weekly, monthly. For a longer stay we automatically work out the cheapest lawful combination of those rates. If a week plus two days is cheaper than nine days, that is what you are charged.
You are never charged more than the best available mix, and you do not have to figure it out yourself. The rate applied is the one in effect when your booking is created, so a later price change does not reach back and alter what you agreed to. Any applicable tax is already included in that price — nothing is added on top.
You see the full price before you commit.
Why some spaces aren't bookable
A small number of spaces at each yard are held back as an operational buffer. That is why a yard can show as full when there is visibly a gap — the buffer is what stops the "your reserved space is occupied" problem, so it is deliberate.
The documents we ask for
To book you will need:
- Your driver's licence — front, and the back if you use the camera scan
- A photo of yourself
- Truck plate photo and DOT/MC sticker photo
Why: the yard has to know who is on their property and that the vehicle matches the booking. That is the whole reason. Your documents are not used for marketing, not sold, and not used to train any machine-learning system.
The optional camera scan reads your licence number and expiry from the barcode on the back so you do not have to type them. You can always type them instead.
Documents are stored in private, access-controlled storage. They are never publicly reachable, and every view goes through a short-lived signed link.
After your first booking
Your documents are kept on file, so a second booking does not mean photographing your licence again. You can see, hide, and replace them in the Documents section of your driver dashboard.
If staff ask you to re-upload something, it will be flagged there with the reason — usually unreadable or expired.
The gate pass
Once payment is confirmed you get a QR gate pass. Show it at the gate; staff scan it and your entry and exit are recorded against the booking.
The pass will not admit you until payment is confirmed. If your gate pass is not working, check the booking's payment status first — that is the cause more often than not.
Signing the agreement
You sign the parking agreement on screen during booking. We record the date, time, and IP address at the moment you sign — that is what makes an electronic signature enforceable, and it protects both sides.
The version you signed is preserved exactly as you signed it. Later changes to our terms do not alter it.
