No. Your vehicle and its cargo are parked at your own risk, and your own insurance is what covers them. We would rather you know that before you book than discover it after something has happened.
What that means in practice
When you park with us you are renting a space. You are not handing your vehicle over to anyone's custody — nobody takes possession of it, nobody holds your keys, and no attendant is responsible for it. In legal terms this is not a bailment. The yard is ground you are permitted to park on, not a vault.
So if your truck, trailer, or cargo is damaged, stolen, vandalised, or affected by weather, fire, or flood while it is parked, the claim goes to your insurer. This is the same arrangement you already have at most truck stops and storage lots, and it is the arrangement you agree to when you sign the parking agreement during booking.
Security is real, but it is not a guarantee
Yards list their own security features — fencing, lighting, cameras, gated access — and those features are genuine. What they are not is a promise that nothing will happen. Cameras record; they do not prevent. A gate deters; it does not stop everyone.
We do not guarantee the security of your vehicle, and we do not claim to. Any yard that promises you nothing will ever happen is telling you something nobody can honestly promise.
What you should have
Carry insurance that covers your truck, your trailer, and your cargo while parked and unattended. Most commercial policies do. Some have gaps around long unattended storage, or exclude locations that are not a scheduled premises — those gaps are worth checking with your broker before you need them, not after.
What we do keep
We are not responsible for your vehicle, but we do keep records, and they help when something goes wrong:
- Gate entry and exit are recorded — when your booking checked in and out, and which staff member scanned it
- Your booking, invoice and payment records are kept for 7 years
- Your signed parking agreement is preserved exactly as you signed it, with the date, time, and IP address of the signature
If you need those records for an insurance claim or a police report, ask us and we will provide them.
The full terms
This page is a plain-language summary. The document that actually governs the parking arrangement is the Parking Liability Agreement, which you review and sign as part of booking, and which is preserved with your booking afterwards. Where this page and that agreement differ, the signed agreement is what counts.
The Terms of Service cover your use of the website itself, which is a separate thing.
